K-2 Field Hockey Clinic
Players entering Kindergarten, 1st Grade, or 2nd Grade in the fall are eligible for the Stampede Fall Field Hockey Clinic.
Practices
Clinic practices start on or about August 1st and continue through the end of October each year. Practices are typically 1 to 1.5 hours long and are held once or twice per week. Clinic practices focus on running, stick skills, basic positions, field hockey strategy, and team building.
Games
Clinic players have the opportunity to participate in League “Play Days” and scrimmages on Saturday mornings. Some travel is required (usually, 45 minutes or less) for play days.
Uniform
Clinic registration includes an Under Armour Stampede jersey to be worn on Play Days. Players must provide their own black shorts. Cleats are optional.
Equipment
Each player must provide a field hockey stick, shin guards, and a mouth guard. Players must bring a water bottle to all practices and games.
Play Healthy Policy
Players are not permitted to attend or participate in any practice or game if they are feeling ill, exhibiting symptoms of any illness, or have potentially been exposed to Covid-19. Stampede will abide by all public health regulations imposed by federal, state, or local authorities, even as these may change. Current health regulations may require limited attendance by spectators at games. Limits, if any, on spectator attendance at practices and games will be communicated by Stampede volunteers or your coach. Parents or guardians must agree to an injury and illness liability waiver in the Player Registration Agreement in order for players to participate in Stampede.
